Group of Companies
A company policy of controlled, self-financed growth, consistently applied throughout the 100-year history of our firm, has ensured that today we have a sound financial base as well as an impressive global presence.
STEINHAUS GmbH is part of a group of companies with a clear focus on the treatment of mineral bulk materials and on solids/liquids separation in the chemical and food industries. We have around 3,500 employees in over 50 companies throughout the world.
EUROSITEX s.r.o. was established in 1994 with the aim of creating an institution for advising on and distributing screening machines and their accessories. Its emphasis was on Eastern European markets. Since 2002 EUROSITEX has been a member or the STAFAG family and now represents STEINHAUS and Multotec products in the 15 national agencies throughout Eastern Europe. In addition to offering professional advice to our customers, Eurositex provides installation services involving assembly and maintenance of our products.
In 1925 W.H. Steinhaus established the distribution company Technical Material, which has since been known in its target markets throughout the world under the name of TEMA. Since the beginning of 2019 the subsidiary companies of TEMA B.V. have been operating under the name SIEBTECHNIK TEMA in order to further emphasise the shared image, which has, in practice, existed for several years already, with our Mülheim-based affiliated company SIEBTECHNIK. So far SIEBTECHNIK TEMA has opened more than a dozen additional sites on several continents, including sales offices, handling warehouses and production plants.
Three years after the invention of the polyurethane screen panel for screening technology, our South African branch, MULTOTEC, was established on the basis of the STEINHAUS patent. In recent decades MULTOTEC, with its strong focus on the mining industry, has become the biggest representative of the STAFAG family and, in addition to its successful customer relations in more than 70 countries, has set up production capacities in South America, Australia and Asia. Since 2019 MULTOTEC process equipment such as jet scrubbers, centrifugal pumps and cyclones is also being represented in Europe by our group companies SIEBTECHNIK TEMA, EUROSITEX and STEINHAUS.
UNIBELT is one of the plants that manufacture our globally successful wire mesh conveyor belts. From among products such as eyelet, wire braided and chain-driven link belts, the one which stands out is the flat-rolled baking oven belt used in the food industry mainly for cookie production. These wire mesh belts produced by UNIBELT, also known in the market as net bands or Z-type belts, meet particularly high demands on material, spiral structure and tolerances. As a supplement to this successful product we offer the Cleanbelt system, which ensures continuous cleaning of our baking oven belts.
On the basis of over 30 years’ experience in developing production equipment, UNISLOT® filter tubes are being manufactured in Waregem in Belgium. This is supported by the most progressive technologies, which meet the strictest quality standards and requirements for various different filter systems. As a result, we can confidently say that UNISLOT® is a world leader in its field.
In the summer of 2018, DOH, now the senior member of our family, celebrated its centenary. This company, which has traded for one hundred years as Drahtwerk Oberndorfer Hütte Peter Weil KG, had its origins in the smelting cabin at Solms-Braunfels, first mentioned in the record books as far back as 1660. Since 2001 STEINHAUS GmbH has been a one hundred percent shareholder of DOH.
Today DOH, as a highly specialised and experienced producer of wire mesh belts, stands for individual and exceptionally durable products with many diverse areas of application. The outstanding strengths of this production site lie in chain-driven belts tailored to special customer requirements, and in its high-temperature range of products.
Dynamic and future-focused. That’s SIEBTECHNIK GmbH – a soundly based medium-sized company with its headquarters in the Ruhr area. It specialises in products for the treatment of bulk goods and solids/liquids separation.
On 1 January 2019 SIEBTECHNIK and TEMA, both of which have behind them many years of success in the global market, officially joined forces in a new umbrella brand to be known as SIEBTECHNIK TEMA. The aim of the partnership is to streamline the brand of the companies, which have hitherto presented a disparate image, under a joint corporate design, and to fine-tune the global sales and service structures with production sites and representations in Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, England, France, Spain, China and Australia. In the medium term the new umbrella brand is intended to contribute to a strong brand identity in the market for centrifuges, screening machines and sampling and treatment systems and components.
