Our new BELTCLEANER 2.0 system has been specifically developed for rolled baking oven belts made by STEINHAUS. It now features an integrated brush system within a compact, enclosed design, delivering an all-in-one solution for efficient belt cleaning.
BELTCLEANER 2.0 – Engineered for Cleaner Baking
The uniform spiral structure of our baking oven belts enables precise engagement with the BELTCLEANER 2.0’s sprocket discs, ensuring that every mesh is reached without gaps. The integrated brushes follow directly behind, removing loosened debris more thoroughly and efficiently than ever before.
Operational problems caused by dirty belts – such as limited air circulation, thermal inefficiency, or shortened belt lifespan – are effectively reduced by the enhanced cleaning system. At the same time, it requires fewer components, less maintenance, and delivers improved hygiene.
Advantages
- Compact all-in-one system with integrated brush unit in a sealed housing
- Lower investment cost compared to purchasing the old CLEANBELT® 1.0 and brush system separately
- 70 % lighter shaft for easier handling and reduced wear on mechanical parts
- Hygienic design with fewer wear parts and better cleanability
- Improved heat management with lower energy consumption
- Extended operational lifetime of the oven belt easier installation
- Fabrication widths up to 2.5 m belt width possible
- Enhanced safety and optimized belt guidance through improved sprocket design
- Quick return on investment
Mode of Operation
The BELTCLEANER 2.0 shaft consists of individually mounted sprocket discs combined with intermediate distance rings, which are fitting to the individual mesh structure of each belt. So they work themselves exactly into the mesh opening. The sprocket discs can break up dirt, stuck to the belt’s surface and/or in the belt meshes. So that the integrated brush system, can finally remove the last particles.
The whole system is (nearly) maintenance free and is cleaned, if necessary, by compressed air or jet water. The system is self-driven since the sprocket discs of the BELTCLEANER 2.0 cylinder follow the row of meshes of the running belt.
For each free running and unguided belt there are certain movements in the belt’s tracking. Consequently, they appear, although to a lesser degree, also with our rolled baking oven belts.
To equal these running variations the BELTCLEANER 2.0 system is freely supported on a stand-alone frame structure and can follow independently the belts (slight) movements to left and right. Our experiences from the field have shown that for many brush systems in operation there is a big potential for improvement, too.
Gladly we could offer some assistance in this respect to achieve in combination with BELTCLEANER 2.0 the best possible cleaning result for your belt.
Build-in Situation
Since the brush system is now directly built into the BELTCLEANER 2.0 housing, no additional rollers or elements must be installed between the cleaning unit and the rest of the belt. Otherwise, the loosened dirt particles could be pressed back into the mesh of the baking oven belt.

The CLEANBELT® 1.0 system has been a proven success in industrial baking environments worldwide. Developed in close cooperation with one of our partners the system has been in reliable operation for many years.
As of today, more than 350 units have been successfully installed in tunnel ovens across all over the world. Building on this strong foundation, the BELTCLEANER 2.0 continues this development with enhanced design, improved hygiene, and a fully integrated brush system – offering an even more efficient, compact, and user-friendly solution for modern industrial bakeries.
