Screening machine with STEINHAUS MLock self-centering, magnet-based polyurethane system screen panel

STEINHAUS MLock is the world’s first magnetic system-based screen panel that self-centers in all three dimensions. There is no easier, safer and faster way to assemble screen panels.

MLock enables screening machines according to EN 1009-4 despite screen deck distances of less than 550 mm. This leads to more compact 3-deck screening machines and avoids unnecessarily large plants in terms of process engineering, which reduces investment, maintenance and energy costs.

Another advantage is the simple assembly of screening elements in difficult to reach places, which reduces the risk of accidents and shortens downtimes due to quick component replacement. Overall, the STEINHAUS M-lock offers an efficient and cost-effective solution for anyone looking for modern and innovative screening technology.

EN 1009-4 Conformity

The standard is intended to ensure safety at work. Therefore, a space of 550 mm should be left between two screen decks to make the assembly team’s work easier. However, this space is only necessary if the area has to be walked on.

MLock allows for assembly and disassembly from below through the longitudinal beams. Even the adapter bars can be installed from below, i.e. without walking on the screen deck.

STEINHAUS MLock – side mounting

The side mounting is done with our bolted side bar with integrated STEINHAUS MLock adapter. This side bar does not have to be dismantled to change the screen components, which considerably reduces the assembly time of the screens. Alternatively, the screen can also be mounted in the classic way with a wedge bar and wedges.

STEINHAUS MLock – adapter bar

The adapter bars for “STEINHAUS MLock” are available for slotted hollow profiles, the slotted X-profile and for perforated angle side members. This makes the system suitable for all common screening machines. The adapter bar for the perforated angle longitudinal beam can be fixed from above with a pin or from below with a screw without entering the screen deck – as is usual with Kombiplast.

STEINHAUS MLock magnets

The valuable magnets are permanently installed in the adapter bar and do not have to be changed with the screen panel. Wear or corrosion on the screening machine therefore have no influence on the attachment of the screen components. Only the low-cost metallic counterpart is located in the screen panel itself.

The recycling of the rare earths in the magnets has also been considered. We plan to introduce a deposit system for the adapter strips, thus saving resources and your money.

STEINHAUS MLock – variety

Naturally, the screen panels for the new STEINHAUS MLock system are also available in the usual quality and variety. Highly wear-resistant polyurethane in various degrees of hardness, hybrid screens with wire mesh, press welded mesh, harps, perforated plates and welded wedge wire screens… we supply the right screen for each of your applications.
